Assessment for Learning MOOC’s Updates

Paper and Pen Test

For this update, I would like to give attention to the power of using traditional paper and pen testing instead of digital ways. By writing and reading through letters in printed form, students' minds are practiced more. It injects familiarity into words while writing down. Giving a good way to let their thoughts be written from scratch. Or, through highlighting the significant ideas they see in the printed materials. I myself have this enjoyment of using paper when reading or answering. Another one, using digital devices in tests makes our eyes soar and we are in pain. The light we see on screen makes our neurons tired and eyes are swollen because of too much focus on screens.

According to research, offline exams have been a stepping stone towards the development of modern assessment models that are more effective. We can’t ignore the fact that there are several advantages of traditional exams.

Some advantages of paper-and-pencil testing include students having familiarity with the system, development of a social connection between learners, exemption from technical glitches, and affordability. Some schools don’t have the resources and pen-and-paper assessments are the only option available.
