Assessment for Learning MOOC’s Updates

Let's go Digital: Impact of Interactive Digital Tools on Student Engagement and Learning Outcomes

This evaluation seeks to assess the effectiveness of interactive digital tools, such as Kahoot, Google Classroom, and Quizlet, in a high school environment. The primary objective is to understand how these tools influence student engagement and learning outcomes.

Key objectives include comparing levels of student engagement before and after the introduction of these tools, measuring changes in academic performance through tests and assignments, and gathering feedback from both students and teachers regarding the enhancement of learning facilitated by these tools.

The methodology involves dividing students into two groups: an experimental group that utilizes digital tools and a control group that does not. Data will be collected through pre- and post-tests, surveys, focus groups, and classroom observations over a 16-week semester.

The strengths of this evaluation are its comprehensive approach, which incorporates both qualitative and quantitative methods, and its practical focus on tools that are already widely used in classrooms. However, limitations include the relatively small sample size, as focusing on a single school may not reflect broader trends, and variations in teaching styles that could influence the effectiveness of digital tool implementation.

The anticipated outcomes include gaining insights into how digital tools enhance student engagement and performance, as well as offering practical recommendations for the improved integration of these tools into classroom settings.
