Higher education institutions are faced with the task of coming up with novel educational solutions in order to meet the needs for competency development established by the future that is emerging. Reflective competence, self-awareness and self-management, learning literacy, personal agency and self-efficacy, and other development-related future competences were firmly selected as necessary future competences to have. Learning analytics' ability to enhance their development has also been extensively acknowledged. This is due to the fact that it enables individuals to reflect on their own learning and competence development, which in turn helps them become more self-aware of their own strengths and flaws.
