A Sample Diagnosis of Software Requirements Teaching in Compu ...
Abstract
This article focuses on the area of software requirements, with particular emphasis on the collection and analysis of information relevant to the development of quality software. The rationale behind this is the need to understand how a sample of computer science course curricula from Brazilian universities address this area, based on the content present in the SWEBOK (Software Engineering Body of Knowledge). The objective is to identify the current situation regarding the teaching of requirements in computer science courses at a sample of higher education institutions in Brazil. To this end, an analysis was carried out on the selected Brazilian courses to identify which SWEBOK subtopics are present and what information is common among these courses, as well as the subjects and content covered in the analyzed curricula, the moment at which these subjects are addressed in the course, and the workload involved in teaching them. The study facilitated discussion about teaching software requirements, with a focus on improving the pedagogical project of the computer science course.
