Assessment is a method used by the educator to measure, document and evaluate the progress of the learners if it needs adjusment for the teaching strategy or techniques used by the educator in a classroom set-up and it plays an integral role in learning process. Assessment can be done before, during and after a discussion to determine the learning needs of the students. Assessment used before the leacture proper is what we called a Pre-assessment, in this assessment the educator are trying to nnow if the students have a prior knowledge with regards to the specific topic. Assessment used during the lecture proper is what we called Formative Assessment in this assessment the educator give a quizzes or a real time activity to monitor the learning process of the students in an ongoing scenarios. Assessment used after the discussion is what we called a Summative Assessment in this assessment
the educator give an activity after the discussion in which the educator would identify if the students fully understand the concept of the certain topic and also evaluate his/her own strategy, techniques, and methods if it need improvement.
