People differ in their abilities, aptitudes, and ways of building knowledge and employing it in meaningful contexts, as well as in their employment of the senses in learning, taking into account these differences and in preserving the rights of individuals to learn in a way that suits them.
The term Adaptive Learning, which began in commercial fields to adapt products to suit the needs of the user, is universally frequented, and entered the educational process technically in late 2012 by the World School Council - London in several types of educational systems such as adaptive hypermedia, smart lesson systems, computerized adaptive tests, and computer-based educational servers. Adaptive learning can be considered an innovation aimed at changing the rules in education, as it historically began for therapeutic education in specific researches such as mathematics, engineering and science through the use of advanced technical tools.
What is Adaptive Learning?
Adaptive learning is a style of education in which specific educational devices or tools are used in a way that meets the specific educational needs of individuals, in other words: Adaptive learning is personalized learning Through the use of advanced techniques tools, trainers can turn general traditional learning into adaptive or specialized learning. It can be considered an unconventional form of learning, because it proceeds from previous pedagogical methods that cannot fully explain the myriad of unique and individual characteristics that students retain.
Adaptive learning is defined procedurally, as one of the learning methods in which learning is presented according to the different patterns, methods and characteristics of learners, according to the way each learner learns, whether it is a traditional or electronic method, by taking into account individual differences.
The application of adaptive learning enables us to deal with many types of students with different learning styles and styles, help students with special needs, meet the needs of outstanding and talented students as well as those with learning difficulties, provide educational content with smart teaching methods and more able to adapt quickly to the surrounding and different educational environments.
