Abstract

This study examines the relationship between strategic environmental leadership, sustainability practices, and organizational performance in Colombian companies. Using survey data from forty firms, the research investigates how leadership vision, environmental policies, and sustainability certifications influence organizational outcomes. Grounded in the natural-resource-based view, the study employs reliability analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) to analyze the data. Results indicate strong positive relationships between environmental leadership, sustainability practices, and organizational performance. Leadership vision emerged as the strongest predictor of performance, followed by environmental policies and sustainability certifications. The findings suggest that Colombian firms can enhance their organizational performance by prioritizing environmental leadership and implementing robust sustainability practices. This research contributes to the understanding of sustainable business strategies in emerging economies and offers practical implications for business leaders and policymakers in Colombia.
