Research Approaches to Technology Transfer in the Triple Helix Context
Abstract
This study shows the results of the bibliometric analysis of technology transfer in the triple helix (university-industry-state) context, from its beginning in 1990 to its end in 2018, aiming to identify evolution in research on the topic over time. The methodology consisted of the analysis of 347 documents on the study topic obtained by means of a search of the Scopus database. The article is built from the creation and analysis of bibliometric indicators of quantity, quality, and structure, and further information about network-created topology through the connectivity among authors and well-known institutions in the publication of academic papers on technology transfer. It was found that the current research topics on the subject are oriented to the university-industry-government context, patenting and licensing, academic consultancy, and the collaboration process.
