Potential of Yoga for Improving Health Outcome Measures in Informal Caregivers
Abstract
The multifactorial process of caring for aging adults may decrease the health and well-being of informal caregivers. Structured physical activity may be an effective intervention for improving health outcome measures of informal caregivers. Recent evidence indicates that Yoga may provide beneficial effects to informal caregivers. This brief review will highlight the potential beneficial effects of Yoga and mind-body-medicine on health outcome measures of informal caregivers.
