This research explores the critical role of smart learning and online education in driving progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically focusing on their implementation and impact within the UAE’s educational institutions. Highlighting practical applications and assessing their effectiveness, the study aims to unlock the transformative potential of these technologies in fostering sustainable development. It seeks to offer strategic recommendations for policymakers and educators, guiding the integration of smart learning solutions to advance SDGs in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) context. Incorporating a multi-dimensional methodology, the study leveraged both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques, including a detailed online survey and insightful online discussions, to holistically evaluate the impact of smart learning and online education on SDGs within the UAE’s educational ecosystem. The findings of the study reveal significant participation and positive perceptions toward smart learning and online education programs, highlighting a robust enthusiasm for technology-enhanced education among respondents. Many participants acknowledged the positive impact of online learning on education quality, particularly in enhancing collaboration, communication, and learning outcomes, as well as in fostering essential twenty-first-century skills. Furthermore, many educators reported receiving training in smart education technologies, reflecting a proactive commitment to integrating these innovative approaches into the educational system. These insights underscore the potential of smart learning and online education to contribute meaningfully to the SDGs through their integration into educational practices.
