Abstract

This study investigates sustainable waste management in Chaiyaphum Province, focusing on innovative processing of plastic and foam waste. Amidst increasing urban waste generation exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, effective waste management strategies are crucial. This research assesses the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of the Khok Mang Ngoi community before and after implementing an educational program combined with practical training. The program aims to enhance waste management practices by promoting sorting at the source, leveraging local participation, and employing technological solutions. The results indicate significant improvements in community knowledge about waste and attitudes toward waste management. The study demonstrates the importance of community-centered interventions in fostering sustainable environmental behaviors, suggesting that tailored educational efforts combined with active community participation can lead to effective waste management solutions.
