Abstract

This study explores social entrepreneurship within Taroudant’s cooperatives, serving as a catalyst for social innovation (SI) and community well-being. Conducting an empirical qualitative study involving fifteen cooperatives, we utilize semi-structured interviews with cooperative leaders, supplemented by secondary data collection. The aim is to understand how these actors positively influence SI and promote community well-being. This research contributes to the discourse on SI, offering fresh perspectives for future studies. It underscores the pivotal role of social entrepreneurship within Taroudant’s cooperatives, emphasizing its potential as a driver of positive and sustainable social development, challenging conventional economic paradigms. This study seeks to enhance our understanding of local social and economic dynamics, highlighting the significance of socially responsible entrepreneurial initiatives within cooperatives for substantial community impact and SI.
