Multimodal Literacies MOOC’s Updates
Essential Peer Reviewed Update #6
Analyze an example of a curriculum resource or practice that connects audio and/or oral meanings to reading or writing. Use this example to explain the dimensions of multimodal literacies pedagogy.
I carry out workshops on the post Covid society for participants from mainly Japan and Scandinavia. Main topics are how we study, how we work or how we live after the pandemics or how it will change.
During these workshops I use mainly Miro app for co-creation together with Zoom.
Zoom is mainly for oral communications while Miro is used mainly for reading and writing.
Everybody is willing to talk via Zoom but not all are so eager or interested to write or read via Miro. There are still some people who are not so accustomed to apps like Miro.
Therefore it is a challenge for me to use both dimensions to connect audio and/or oral meanings to reading or writing.
I would like to offer possibilities to design both dimensions but I am still trying to find suitable ways so that participants (learners) feel comfortable.
