Educational Psychology as a Learning Science
Educational psychology is a crucial branch of learning science that requires more attention than it already has. When it comes to contributing to our understanding, educational psychology is a field that seems to apply apply psychological principles to explain how students learn, what motivates them and how educators can factor in the individual differences of their learners in dealing with them. As for the evidence it offers, we see it in research works, longitudinal studies and meta-analysis. Finally, the interpretative concepts and theories that it provides ranges from learning theories like behaviourism and cognivitism to developmental and motivation theories. These theories help understand how individuals learn, develop and behave in varying educational contexts.
