Learning, Knowledge and Human Development MOOC’s Updates
Essential Update #4 (6. Productive Struggle in Learning (George Reese))
It is a very broad question to begin with because educational psychology deals with so many different topics. The cognitive perspective and the behavioral perspective are the two main theoretical strands of educational psychology that will aid us in better comprehending the causes of learning difficulties. Here, I'd like to bring up subjects and tools like social and emotional learning, cognitive thinking, different types of memory, knowledge organization, short- and long-term memory function, various information transfer methods, and fostering creativity in a classroom. For a teacher, carefully considering all of these topics—or just a few of them—can provide excellent ideas, perspectives, and tools for considering and putting into practice approaches to teaching and learning that will lead to greater successes in both the academic and everyday lives of students.
It is very comprehensive, and I got to know many other perspectives of educational psychology.
