As we know Didactic pedagogy is also termed as Traditional pedagogy which is based on instructional routines and recitation of knowledge. Our way learning a language and grammar is an example of didactic pedagogy where this basic method is being used since ages and the retention of the gained information is done by reciting it.

It is appropriate when it fulfills its basic purpose of laying a platform for the further knowledge without consuming more time and dont interfere with the dilution of facts in the chain of knowledge sharing.
