Reporting layers: from field level data focal person to higher level respective data focal ones
Reported from sub-RHC level usually at third week of a month to RHC, RHC to township at fourth week of a month, from township to States/ Regions at first week of next month
Midwives, public health staffs (PHS) collect the data firstly and prepare the paper report to be sent to RHC. At RHC levels, HA reviews the report and gives feedback as necessary and sent to Township level. Data is entered into electronic systems at township level by EPI focal persons (there is also HMIS focal person in tsp level and if there is no EPI focal person, he/she enters the data into electronic system) and sent to SR level in which data is reviewed by Team leader/ EPI focal person and feedback given to township level.
Strengths – timeliness, completeness, and consistency present across levels
Weakness –weak feedback mechanism at some levels, still paper based at field levels
Opportunities – commitment
Threat – denominator problem (migrant population)
From the above steps, I learnt and realized that I still need to try to improve my knowledge regarding data analysis.
