From Classroom to Online: A Teacher’s Perspective on Change

As a Social Studies teacher, I’ve experienced the drastic shift from face-to-face teaching to online and blended learning. During the pandemic, I had to rely on platforms like Google Classroom and Zoom, which pushed me to redesign my lessons into more interactive and student-centered formats. Instead of long lectures, I integrated digital tools, breakout discussions, and collaborative activities.

This change taught me that education today is less about transferring information and more about building adaptability, critical thinking, and engagement. At the same time, as a graduate student, I’ve benefited from the flexibility of e-learning—allowing me to study while working.

Overall, I’ve realized that the nature of education has become more dynamic, but it also requires creativity and resilience from both teachers and learners.
