Meaning making in participation
The oral transmission of folk narratives is a vital component in literary studies. They are discourses which neither has a neither identifiable author nor record of origin, for they are passed down from one generation to another, which explains different versions of a particular tale. When the art of storytelling is conducted in a class, it familiarises students with the language used e.g. English or even a vernacular language or dialect of a particular community. Graphic representations of stories like animation, 2D illustrations accompanied with dialogue, music, sound effects, voice over and subtitles ushers deep understanding of the story. The medium emphases on the topic shared and create more responsive attention, recognition and association with the narrative. This thereby creates a more personalized inter-group relationality and identity.
