New Learning MOOC’s Updates

Navigating the Shift of Education

As both a teacher and a student, I have experrience firsthand the profound changes in education over the past few years, particularly due to the impact of technology and the shift toward online learning.

One significant change I've observed is the increased emphasis on digital literacy and online engagement . As a teacher, I've had to adapt my lesson plans to incorporate various online tools and platforms to facilitate learning. For example, I started using Google Classroom to streamline communication and assignments, which has improved accessibility for my students. This platform allows me to share resources, collect assignments, and provide feedback efficiently. However, I also noticed that some students struggle with motivation in an online setting, making it essential for me to create interactive lessons that foster engagement. As a student, I’ve experienced the flexibility that online courses offer, allowing me to balance my studies with work and family responsibilities. This flexibility has been invaluable, especially as I pursue my postgraduate studies. However, I find that I sometimes miss the collaborative and social aspects of in-person classes. For instance, brainstorming sessions with peers in a physical classroom often lead to more dynamic discussions than what I’ve encountered in breakout rooms online. Overall, the blend of technology in education has introduced both opportunities and challenges. I believe this hybrid model is likely here to stay, and I’m eager to see how it continues to evolve. @Anna fe Tande Name, how have you adapted to these changes in your teaching or learning experiences? Do you think the advantages of online learning outweigh the drawbacks
