Teachers as Facilitators of Learning

The role of teachers at present has evolved. From a trditional form of teaching wherein the teacher always give all the information, changes and development on the ways of teaching were introduced at present. Instead of just giving answers, teachers who function as facilitators let students take charge of their own learning by guiding and encouraging them. With this method, educators foster an atmosphere in which learners are free to investigate, pose inquiries, and work through problems. Teachers promote individual inquiry, teamwork, and critical thinking as opposed to spoon-feeding students information. They establish challenges, give students the tools and resources, and encourage them to come up with solutions on their own. By encouraging greater comprehension, independence, and lifetime learning, this approach empowers students to take an active role in their education and go beyond memorization.
