New Learning MOOC’s Updates
Teaching communication
I am teaching adults to be doctors. I find the topics taught in this course very important. To be a doctor you have to have many skills that cannot be learnt by didactic or authentic teaching.
As a doctor, you have to be able to use what you have been learnt in many different contexts and in treating different people, who need a "personal treatment". Seeing the whole person and not just the symptoms are important.
To be able to do that you, of course, have a certain knowledge but most important are skills you acquire by transformative/reflexive teaching.

I support your point of view. It is very important to use new elements in the education process. In this regard, transformative teaching is necessary in medicine and other discipliens too.
