New Learning MOOC’s Updates
Unexpected future should allow students to choose their learning plan
Now and in the future, the skills we need in order to finished a work could be different from the school curriculum. I have experience, many of my friend and people i know learn computer science, learn video editing, and any other skills which is not so popular in the past and regarded as minor and not valuable skill.
But, Now the skills which was underestimated in the past, surprisingly are very important and payed high, for example social media specialist, content creator, gamer, and so on.
Then, we can understand that students need freedom to learn and allocate their time to the activities they want. They should have the right to decide what important for them. If they understand their path and plan in learning, they will get motivation and could engage more in learning process.
Piaget and many psychologist suggested that students need to be active in learning process (Piaget, 1954, 1974 in Mims, 2003) (1). The clear vision of students' learning will encourage them to learn in integrative way. They will learn the theory and also actively implemented it maybe in community or institution as learning by doing.

@PutiDidi I completely agree with you that students should be allowed to choose what and how they want to learn. We underestimate students' capabilities or limit them as a result of each country's or worldwide academic standards. I also believe that granting this freedom of choice could provide a successful outcome in the future generations; future citizens of the world who are innovative and take ownership of their failures and achievements.
@ Puti, you said very well. My self I am learning lots outside my profession. I fit in the society better with lots of transferable skills other than 'medical knowledge'. this is very commendable. we educators should be exemplary, we are role models
