Abstract
This study investigates the impact of internal communication on employee performance in Oman, with a focus on Oman LNG as a case study. The research examines the clarity, timeliness, and effectiveness of communication, as well as the influence of feedback and interaction with leadership. A quantitative approach was adopted through a structured online survey completed by 52 employees across multiple departments. The findings reveal that the majority of employees perceive managerial communication as clear and timely, and most feel well-informed about their roles. The company newsletter emerged as the most effective channel, while the intranet was significantly underutilized. Despite these strengths, issues such as email overload, insufficient feedback mechanisms, and limited leadership visibility were highlighted as barriers to effective communication. Employees expressed the need for more transparent, interactive, and face-to-face communication practices to enhance trust and alignment. The study concludes that while Oman LNG has a strong foundation in internal communication, improvements in streamlining channels, strengthening feedback systems, and increasing leadership engagement are crucial for boosting transparency, teamwork, and overall employee performance.
