My name is Oscar LLorente, I have a proven work experience (2004-2018) on project management and public policy related issues in humanitarian, post-crisis and development contexts. My background consists on an excellent knwoledge on planning, assisting and operationalizing humanitarian and development programs projects in water&sanitation, livelihoods and disaster risk reduction issues. I have conducted the core of my professional practice in international organizations as UNDP and the Red Cross Movement, essentially at the Spanish Red Cross and the IFRC. I have regularly coordinate activities and provide technical support to implementing partners, such as bilaterla cooperation agencies, UN organizations, Government ministries, municipalities and community based organizations. Last professional experience I worked for UNDP as post crisis and recovery specialist. Previously I was deployed by the IFRC as responsible for the Ebola response operations in Guinea as part of the emergency response. Furthermore, I have workded in complex humanitarian and social crisis such as the Saharawi refugee camps of Tindouf (2007-2008), delivering WASH services for refugees or setting up livelihoods activities for vulnerable groups during the Horn of Africa Crisis in 2011-2013. Currently, I am part of the logistics pool of Doctors Without Borders OCBA with a strong profile in water and sanitation. In addition, I am an active member of the Emergency Response Unit (M15 and M40) for the Spanish Red Cross. Finally, I am completing my studies on Infrastructures in Emergencies for the WEDC John Pickford Building Loughborough University (UK) and doing my final research dissertation on "Household Water Treatment in Emergencies: A case study for the Emergency Response Units of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement". In summary, I posses experience in policy advice and advocacy, project management (from budget matters to human resources, and to financial procedures), planning and logistics issues, team and portfolio management. I am particularly interested in improving my personal skills on safe access to deliver a better services to colleagues working under my responsability on the field.
