I am a rwandan woman, married with 4 boys and chief of my father's family. I am engaged and committed to challenging gender stereotypes across our societies since i was very young. Since i joined my current employer "CARE" in 2001, i have invested a lot in learning and sharing knowledge through different occasions "training, facilitaion, coaching, mentorship"- My main focus has been gender in emergencies and development, governance and accountability practices and currently prevention of sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse. I am engaged into it not only as a job but as an ambition to contribute to the well being of mene, women, girls and boys in our societies. I promote women's economic emepowerment and i have managed an initiative that targeted over 100,000 people, 80% being women in Rwanda with an aim to increase economic opportunities and leadership to manage and control ressources as well challenging policies and norms that are against gender equity and equality. I have invested into entrepreneurship and won the 2016 best reward for rwandan women entrepreneur offered in Texas by the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women (IEEW). I am engaged to learn and provide mentorship and coaching to peer women and most vulnerable to explore economic opportunities and overcome all tradittional and policy barriers that we face. Through Networking, i get opportunities to engage with women in leadership positions mostly parlamentarians and public servents and head of Civil society organisations for joint and peer mentorship on gender issues that we all face.
