Question 03: Having reliable coverage estimate for the national level will be enough to have an understanding of overall immunization program status and for the advocacy purposes. It rarely uses the provincial level precise coverage estimates for high-level advocacy activities.

Classification of vaccine coverage at provincial level will enable the EPI managers of Harmonia to identify the poorly performing provinces and plan targeted vaccine coverage improvement activities. It will be easy to concentrate on implementation, monitoring and evaluation in 10 provinces than concentrating many plans in the sub-sub national level like districts.

The overall sample size for provincial level estimation and classification are 10,600 and 4480 respectively, more than 50% reduction. Therefore, conducting a provincial level classification type survey will reduce the overall burden on survey teams and it will improve the data quality since the questionnaire intended to collect other factors affecting vaccination program, in addition, the primary objective of coverage estimates.

Hence, conducting a survey with national coverage estimates with provincial coverage classification will help Harmonia to assess its immunization program realistically with enough information to improve the program.
