I am a self-motivated, creative and result oriented public health professional with more than 8 yrs of versatile work experience in RMNCH+A (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health), Immunization, Quality Assurance, Quality Initiative, Disease Surveillance, Epidemiology, Program Management, Project Implementation, Operations and capacity building in public health, community health program including clinical medicine. I have completed MBBS (4&1/2yrs), Internship (1yr), MD in Community Medicine (3yrs). I am currently working as State RMNCH+A consultant (Unicef) for Karnataka (67 million population) since 1y11m. I am well versed in MCH care. I am supporting 8 HPDs and managing a team of 6 consultants. I have led cEVM, WASH in health care, MR campaign, Quality improvement of SNCU and Labour room (LaQshya). I am involved in major policy related decisions and actions advocated at state level. I have worked as Surveillance Medical Officer at WHO Country office for India in its project (National Polio Surveillance Project) for about 6 yrs. My core areas are Polio, Measles and Other VPD surveillance, Intensification of Routine Immunization, training, monitoring, mentoring, analysis large data, advocacy and management skills. I was also deputed on a special mission to Nigeria (Katsina State) under surge capacity for Polio (3 months). many of our intervention and suggestions have been included in the national program of Nigeria.

It is a Doctoral Degree in Community Medicine. MBBS with Internship is the eligibility criteria. The studnets have to complete three years full time residential training. At the end of the course the students will be able to:- Apply the principles and process of health management to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the national health programs. Plan, organize, implement, monitor or evaluate outcome and impact of health care programmes and services. Acquire the epidemiological know how and understand the dynamics of transmission of common communicable diseases for necessary measures to prevent and control diseases. Identify through community diagnosis, the social, cultural, environmental and psychological factors influencing health behaviour and apply these principles in community level intervention programms. Integrate the know-how of diagnosis and management of health issues with the science of public health practice and expertise of health communication. Critically appraise National health policies, priorities and approaches. Plan, organize, implement and evaluate teaching/learning sessions for medical and paramedical personnel. Design research protocols, collect and analysise data on bio-medical, epidemiological, social and health service issues. Apply knowledge of epidemiology and Bio-statistics to interpret reports and publication.
