Possible solutions of the Southeast Asian conflict
Possible solutions of the conflict
lessons of the past = opportunities for the future
The best way to get out of the conflict and to reach agreement is to learn from previous mistakes and overcome them. It would not be easy at all, but if tne both sides are eager to do so, everything is possible.
"The key question is whether China and the region can reach an understanding that avoids the trap of repeating a conflicted history. Southeast Asia eagerly embraced the softer version of Chinese power on display during the charm offensive of the early 2000s. The region now inevitably has to create space for a more powerful China that wants to see the regional order ‘gradually readjusted and reconstructed’.
How that is done could prove very unsettling to a region that prizes its own autonomy as much as the opportunity inherent in Chinese wealth. China too will have to recognise that it serves many of its own core interests when it accommodates the interests of its southern neighbours"

China realizes that it is currently one of the major economic powers in the world. In this country concentrates the production of most of the world's companies, more and more investments are coming to China. And for this country, of course, now the first place is the economy, not relations between its neighbors. China needs to be a big competitor to the USA.
The deterioration of relations with the neighbors could be an obstacle for developing economy and competing with the USA though..
this really good but its not fits with the real life facts such as china for example ; China is currently seeking all means to impose its hegemony on the market. by financial to other governments and After the end of the repayment period, these governments are unable to repay the required amounts and their benefits. Therefore, China take hegemony to the project or gives up part of the land to China.because China and The United States are competing to build a new world order. Currently, China is dominating parts of multiple countries such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri lanka, the Maldives and Kenya.
I agree. Conflicts are always controversial and it is not always easy to find solutions; however, when people sit down and talk putting differences apart they can find a middle point where they can agree. Conflits solution have to go through a win-win agreement for all.
You are right, how compromise benefits is a big issue.
Counties of EU where also experienced conflicted history, but they have similar cultures, values as well as politics. So they do well in the process of regional integration. Unlike them, the backgrounds of Southeast counties and China are more complex. I'm a pessimist, in my opinion, the conflicts between Southeast countries and China will last for a long time, but it will not affect their economic cooperation, because China has been the biggest economic partner for many countries, the have to depend on each other.
Thank you for this information! As for me, Southeast Asian conflicts are really controversial, so it is not easy to solve them.
I agree entirely. Especially, when the two parties do not realize how it is crucial to find the golden mean: it is not only the profit, but also the way to deal with conflicts that prevent the countries from exacerbation. Econimic and political affairs are 2 sides of the same coin.
That’s true. Every conflict is controversial as it has two or more sides with their own truth.
