There is a program that I used when I was in high school in Memphis. The program was online and it is called MathXL. This program is helpful for student because it gives them a way of learning the material that they are taught online and on their own. I think this is important for students to apply the material that they are taught because that way they know that they can use the material on their own. When a student is able to do problems on their own that is a way of knowing that the students actually knows the material. Listening and being talked through the subjects they are learning is important but that is not a way of knowing whether or not the students are actually learning the material. Putting the students through courses is important because that way they are being tested on the information before the actual test. I think this online work is better that actual homework because online there are ways to review your answers and there are ways for the students to listen to and go over the lesson plan again. Math is an especially difficult subject for most students so having this extra practice is very important.
