One Health approach to rabies prevention
Currently discussing collaboration with Mission Rabies UK for rabies prevention and control in a district in Ghana for possible role out to the whole nation as part of efforts to meet the global target of rabies elimination by 20130. It will include collaboration between the veterinary services, environmental health and the human health systems. The vast experience of Mission Rabies in Africa and Asia will be brought on board to experiment a system that is robust, efficient and effective for replication in the whole country.
Good initiative Moses.
Other countries may have to follow this collaboration in an attempt to eliminate rabies by 2030. I congratulate you in advance on the intersectoral collaboration bit of all.
Thank you Sir for the kind words.
I will feedback you on how it goes.
Cheers
Great idea, Dr. Moses!
I wish you success on the plans towards making Ghana one of the countries that will achieve Rabies elimination by the year 2030.
No doubt, Nigeria will equally need this kind of collaboration towards the same goal.
