Here is the proposed rapid gender analysis work plan to share with the mult-sectoral assessment teams I stay in touch to support the process let me know in case you need any. I will appreciate to be part of coordination meetings in regarding to preparation of the multi-sectoral assessment this way I will be able to influence the process and tools for the assessment.

Rapid Gender Assessment Work Plan.

Key pieces of information we need to come out of the assessment to provide us with new, relevant and important gender information that will help us better and understand the situation and inform program design as well respond the gendered needs and priorities.

Current situation of women, men, girls and boys that describes differing gendered needs and interests, risks, vulnerabilities and capacities.

Identify existing services available/accessibility to different gender groups and identify gaps and as well as barriers to access these services and information specific high lights on issues related to WaSH and protection.

Assessment tools and methodology for the (RGA toolkit) The assessment will be use mixed methods both qualitative and quantitative.

-sex, age and disability (SADDD) disaggregated data: - aim is to asses the numbers of women, men, boys and girls affected by a humanitarian crisis.

Focus groups discussions:- number of focus group discussions will be carried out, FGDs will be facilitated same sex enumerator or translator and groups will be separated by sex, age and whether they were IDPs or host community , refugees or returnees.
Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) The key informant interviews will take place at the community level and at the district the KII will be ensured maximum diversity including administrative committee, authorities, women groups social activists, teacher, health workers etc.
Field observation gender and protection audit:- A walk through the community should be undertaken in each of the communities to observe potential danger zones (e.g. badly lit WASH facilities, distribution points) and areas that have at risk groups, such as women headed households
Household interview :- Household surveys will be carried out. The aim of the household survey was to be able to have some quantitative data to complement the qualitative data obtained. Th e house hold questionnaire will be incorporated the wider multi-sectoral assessment this will be a better opportunity to cover good sample of the affected population with larger coverage.

The groups we will speak in the focus groups will comprise of the flowing, adult men, adult women, young men, young women. Each focus group will have between 6 to 8 participants, the selection of the participants should be done firstly by the criteria of the groups above and then using maximum variation sampling which means selecting a group that represent a wide range of experiences within that group the criteria will be explained in the FGD interview guide to ensure diversity of the group participants and FGD facilitators will be trained. For, example, for the group of adult females, should contain women who are heads of household, a disabled woman, a woman with children, a widow, etc. to ensure a wide range of perspectives.
. Staffing plan/ Support and training needed. 8 staff will be participating the process gender balanced, 2 persons from partner organizations and 2 translators/enumerators

Team B facilitating female FGDs 2 persons
Team C facilitating key information interviews 2 persons
Team D HH interviews 4 people.
Team E 1 person Gender Protection oudit and 1 person leading the overall gender assessment.
I assume that the staff, partner team and enumerators are familiar have good experience of caring out gender analysis, the plan is one day refresher training, for the tools and methodology of the gender analysis, regular debriefing meeting will be conducted at the end in each assessment day when all teams safely arrive in their base. This will be good opportunity for teams take corrective measure in issues they experience on daily bases and plan better for the next day.
