Building and sustaining a scalable NIC based on existing partnerships that develop and pilot prototypical curricula built on systems thinking and Informed Engineering Design Pedagogy at the FEW (Food, Energy, Water) nexus to engage middle school students in scientific inquiry; launch and guide other age- and level-specific educational and engagement strategies; support, teacher professional development, curriculum development, and pedagogical innovations; and model and test the effectiveness of a networked improvement community as a driver for social innovation towards addressing challenges in BP in STEM.
