  I've been a teacher in Korea off and on since 1997. I was "off" for quite a while during grad school (University of Illinois, MATESOL, & Indiana University Language Education and Instructional Systems Technology, MS IST). I've been back "on" since 2006, and at Sangmyung University, Seoul in the English Education department since 2009. I have had a variety of instructional and research interests over the years, with the most recent being the use of videoconferencing for interviews and language testing, the teaching of diagnostic methods to students to improve language listening skills, implementation of a flipped classroom model for use in EFL writing contexts, and, most recently, the use of automated online systems for independent diagnostics and practice to improve writing skills.
