Novieta Hardeani Sari was a Strategic Communication lecture and Research Fellow for Communication Studies and Social Political Analyst in Universitas Nasional, Jakarta, Indonesia until January 2017. She also worked as a Communication Consultant for Brand and Corporate Image at some of private and government sector clients in Indonesia. Her strength is to redefine the evidence-based that collected from the qualitative methodology for instance observations, interviews, focus discussion groups which will be used as an information based for formulating the action planning stage. In research, her focus of interests are communication studies, participatory practice, sustainable development, socio-cultural geography and dialectical designs to improve civic engagement and governance systems platforms, and to deal with the complexities of the present conditions and future needs based on the dimensions of social, politics, economic, cultural and environmental existence. In the international research collaboration, she also involved in some promised research, book section and papers within numbers of prominent UK and Australia scholars, such as Flinders University, Adelaide Australia; Charles Darwin University, Australia; and Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK. Currently, she is a PhD student at Human and Social Geography at Newcastle University, UK, under supervisors: Prof Rachel Woodward, Dr Gareth Powell, and Prof Rachel Pain.
