Matt Wallin is an internationally recognized visual effects artist. He has created compelling visual effects for feature films and broadcast for over fifteen years. As a digital compositor at Industrial Light & Magic for seven years, Matt created 2D and 3D effects for movies such as “Twister”, “The Mummy”, “Star Wars: The Special Edition(s)” and “101 Dalmatians” among others. Wallin served as the Visual Effects Supervisor for American artist, Matthew Barneyʼs “Cremaster Cycle”, “De Lama Lamina” and “Drawing Restraint 9”.
Matt is a full member of the Visual Effects Society (VES) and a guest host on the international podcast, “The VFXShow”, available for free on iTunes. Wallin has worked with some of the leading artists and filmmakers working today including; George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Woody Allen, Peter Jackson, the Wachowski Brothers, Guillermo Del Toro, Matthew Barney, Madonna, Bjork, Richard Serra, Keith Edmier, Stephen Sommers, Robert Zemeckis, Barry Levinson, Francis Lawrence, Zach Snyder & others.
Today he is living with his family near Charlottesville, VA, working as a writer, director, cinematographer, visual effects supervisor and educator.
