Jeremy Wainright’s Updates
Update 4: Cyber Helper
Using CyberHelper ended up shaping my writing process more than I expected. I started with the Brainstorm tool because I wasn’t totally sure which direction I wanted the essay to go. That helped me lay out a few angles and choose the one that actually fit what I needed to argue. After that, I spent most of my time bouncing between the Research and Plan tools. Those two kept me organized and stopped me from drifting off topic, so I went back to them a couple of times whenever I felt stuck.
As I drafted, I used Expand to build out sections that felt thin and Summarize when something came out too long or repetitive. Check Flow helped me clean up spots where the transitions felt choppy, and Proofread handled the small stuff at the end. Throughout the process, I kept using the Ask tool whenever something didn’t feel clear. Most of those follow-up questions were things like, “Can you rephrase this so it sounds smoother?” or “Does this actually connect back to my main point?” Those back-and-forth moments were useful because they helped me tighten my ideas and keep the tone consistent.
Overall, CyberHelper pushed me into a more step-by-step process instead of my usual habit of writing everything at once. Next time, I’d probably use the planning tools even earlier so the draft comes together faster.
