Jennifer Lachance, DrPH is the Associate Director of the Center for Health Leadership at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. Dr. Lachance received her Doctor of Public Health degree from Berkeley, focusing on public health leadership in disaster preparedness situations. Prior to coming to Berkeley, Dr. Lachance earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mathematical Sciences with a concentration in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. She then worked as a consultant with Ernst & Young in New York City for 5 years, developing strategic plans and building capacities among healthcare providers, non-profit organizations, and local, state, and federal public health agencies. Dr. Lachance currently teaches the Leadership Fellows program at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, co-teaches the Doctor of Public Health Leadership Seminar, and serves as the primary advisor for the Center for Health Leadership Student Board. She has also taught the School of Public Health pedagogy class for first-time graduate student instructors at Berkeley.
