  Dr. Claudio Ramos-Zincke is Professor of the Deparment of Sociology and Director of the PhD Program in Sociology at Alberto Hurtado University, Chile. He received a PhD and MA in sociology from the University of Texas at Austin (USA) and a MA from the Catholic University of Chile. He has extensive experience researching, as a sociologist, in firms, educational establishments, and other organizations. Recently, Dr. Ramos has published the books The Transformation of Chilean Firm. An imbalanced Modernization (2009), The Assemblage of Social Science and Society (2012), and Poverty as Object of Government (2016). Currently, he is conducting research on national and global devices of educational evaluation in relation to processes of governmentality.
