Dr. Brendon Hyndman is a Lecturer in Education (Teaching & Learning/Health & Physical Education) within the School of Education at Charles Darwin University (CDU), Australia. Dr Hyndman has extensive school-based teaching and research experiences within a diverse range of primary, secondary and tertiary settings. He gained his Ph.D. at RMIT University in Health and Physical Education (HPE) and has HPE teaching and Tertiary Education degrees from the University of Ballarat (now Federation University). His PhD included the internationally recognised Lunchtime Enjoyment Activity and Play (LEAP) school intervention. He has been involved in teacher education since 2009. Broadly, his research interests lie in Health and Physical Education, the informal school curriculum, teacher education and interventions to improve school children’s physical, cognitive and social skills.
