New Learning MOOC’s Updates
Having a Gaming Mindset
Reading Gee’s ideas made me reflect more deeply, especially because I personally love playing video games. I know firsthand how games make you feel in control, motivated, and eager to try again after failing. That sense of agency and excitement is something many students don’t often experience in traditional classrooms. As a teacher, this pushes me to bring that same energy into my lessons. I want my students to feel that their choices matter, that they can explore, experiment, and learn through meaningful challenges just like in a good game. By applying game-like elements and giving students more ownership, I'm one step ahead in creating a learning environment where hard work feels enjoyable and learning becomes something they genuinely look forward to.
