Abstract
This workshop introduces an experiential approach to exploring protocol practices in emergency settings through the lens of clinical dance therapy. Grounded in fieldwork from health geography, the session seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical frameworks and embodied practices in crisis response. By engaging participants in movement-based activities, the workshop highlights how somatic methodologies can inform and enrich emergency protocols, particularly in contexts involving vulnerable populations such as migrants and individuals experiencing mental health trauma. Drawing on insights from interdisciplinary research, the session examines the role of embodied healing processes in fostering resilience, enhancing well-being, and upholding dignity in high-stress environments. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the intersections of health geography, clinical dance therapy, and emergency care practices, fostering dialogue on innovative, inclusive, and human-centered approaches to crisis intervention. This workshop aims to inspire critical thinking and collaborative strategies for advancing emergency health practices.
