Abstract
Given the accelerating global changes, the increasing technological breakthroughs, and the successive industrial revolutions that have impacted various organizations in general, and educational institutions in particular, it is important for educational institutions, particularly schools, to consider these dimensions and respond to them by preparing school leaders to manage change in line with national trends, not merely adapt to them. Therefore, school leadership preparation programs at universities are among the most prominent programs that must evolve, especially in light of the industrial revolutions, especially as we live in the throes of the Fifth Industrial Revolution. This study attempts to present a proposed vision for developing these programs by identifying the most prominent variables of the Fifth Industrial Revolution on education in particular, and on school leaders in particular, identifying areas for developing their performance, and identifying the most prominent challenges that these programs may face. The researcher uses a qualitative approach to achieve the study’s objectives, through semi-structured interviews with a sample of educational leaders in colleges of education at Saudi universities, some distinguished school leaders in technology, and some artificial intelligence specialists. After collecting and transcribing the data, the researcher uses the MaxQuda program and a number of appropriate codes to arrive at the study’s results, which present the concept in all its components, identifying the most prominent solutions that will ensure overcoming any challenges that may arise in implementing the proposed concept.The study concludes with some procedural recommendations for implementing the concept at an appropriate
