Abstract
No matter if they are played on cell phones, computers, tablets or consoles, games have become popular and they are being part of the daily lives of children, young people and adults. Press play is much more than starting a game, such action represents the possibility of entering in another world, assuming other identities and interacting not only with the game, as a technology, but also with other languages and other gamers. Therefore, interactivity is present in games in different ways of acting, creating and comunicating in games and beyond the world of gaming. From this perspective, this paper proposes to promote discussions about what interactivity is and how it manifests itself in games, as well as aligning perspectives that allow for expansion of perspectives for language teacher education that favors new perspectives on games. In light of studies on interactivity and on games, we intend to expand reflections on the language practices of the digital society contextualized from situations of interaction between the gamer and the game and between gamers.
