Model of Appropriation of Technological Tools for Educational Practices in Secondary Education

Abstract

The current world, focused on the usage of digital tools, has caused human interaction to change. For this reason, the education field faces new challenges every day when it comes to online resources. This has brought up the need to research how technological tools can be used to effectively improve learning processes. The goals then would be (1) to offer a model of appropriation to these tools to help the development of learning practices in secondary education; (2) to identify the most commonly used tools in educational spaces, and (3) to present the components of the appropration model. This model will be available for others to replicate and use in the teaching institutions that wish to integrate the use of informational technology in their practices. This investigation followed an qualitative method, in which we used interviews of teachers and students to determine which tools were used the most in these learning spaces and how they were used, as well as direct observation of how these tools interact in the learning practices.
