Abstract
Thai universities have participated and created MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) since 2016, offering them on both the Thai MOOC platform and their own systems. Thai MOOC platform is a crucial tool in facilitating lifelong learning opportunities for Thai citizens, aligning with the Thai government’s policies introduced in 2015. This study examines a selection of universities and documented the number of MOOCs offered on both the Thai MOOC platform and the universities’ individual platforms. The internal quality control of university-owned MOOCs was found to be the responsibility of each respective institution. The deployment of MOOCs within these selected universities reveals three primary learning modalities: Self-paced learning, Blended learning with MOOCs, and Supplemental learning with MOOCs.
