Abstract
This paper comprehends the opinions and motivations of Pakistani students regarding learning Arabic as a second language. The study highlights students’ motivations towards studying abroad in Arab countries in general and in Egypt in particular. To seek the data from students, a questionnaire along with an interview method was used. The results show that most of the students interested in learning Arabic as a second language have high levels of enthusiasm and positive attitudes towards this language and they learn for many reasons, such as learning Islam, doing business in Arab countries, or seeking jobs in the Middle East.
