Classroom Culture: One Student, Many Cultural Identities

Abstract

This interactive and insightful exploration will cover the crucial role of classroom culture in creating a dynamic and effective learning environment. In this session, we will delve into the key components that contribute to a positive classroom culture and discuss practical strategies for cultivating a space where both students and educators thrive. Participants will be allowed to engage in introspection on their hidden and not-so-hidden systems of beliefs toward particular cultures. There will be opportunities to engage in table dialog as well as complete a personal inventory of mindsets towards different cultures.
