Abstract
This research assesses the impact of a training program on students’ attitudes towards ChatGPT-3.5, a superior technology in modern education. A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving 61 Algerian postgraduate students divided into an experimental group (31 students) and a control group (30 students). Pre-test and post-test questionnaires, consisting of 24 items related to students’ perspectives on artificial intelligence, particularly ChatGPT-3.5, were administered to both groups. The questionnaire’s validity was ensured through validation by 231 students. The study’s findings indicate that the training program had a statistically significant effect on various aspects of students’ perspectives, including Anxiety, Attitudes towards Improving Research Methods Skills, Behavioral Intention to Use/Learn ChatGPT-3.5, Effort Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, Performance Expectancy, Self-Efficacy, and Social Influence. While no significant difference was observed between the experimental and control groups during the pre-test, a statistically significant difference emerged in the post-test results. The study’s key findings provided educational recommendations and implications for ChatGPT-3.5.
