Abstract
Across the United States and specifically in the Southern US there has been and continues to be a need to shift to more effective inclusive practices. While policies that look good on paper are certainly in place to accommodate for this type of shift, the educational design is not such that it effectively supports true inclusion in the classrooms for all students. This paper explores the need for true and effective collaboration on the part of educators to ensure students receive the most effective and supportive rigorous education possible.
